Forest Cricketers reach new heights in New Zealand

Mark Houghton and Cameron Merchant who both started their cricket careers in the same team with Forest District Cricket in the early 1990's as primary school boys from Killarney Heights Primary School are now playing top class cricket in New Zealand. Cameron has this year secured a first class contract with the New Zealand Wellington Firebirds. Mark had a contract with the same team last year. Both have played a number of first class cricket games in NZ and hopefully they will both line up in the same Firebirds team this season.Let that be an inspiration for all of our up and coming cricketers!
